This advertisement is effective because it uses ethos. It makes all of the Miley fans want to drink milk. Anyone who looks up to this role model will see milk as the new thing to drink. If Miley drinks it, they will. Most of the “Got Milk” advertisements work with ethos. They use the appeal of credibility to convince people to be interested in the product. The message this conveys is “If Miley drinks milk, so should you!” Also at the top it says “Girl power” in order to get all girls interested in this advertisement. The audience is meant for little girls who look up to Miley Cyrus and anyone who is interested in “girl power”. The text under the words “Girl Power” is “Actress by day. Rocker by night. I’ve got to keep fit to keep up. So I drink milk. Some studies suggest that teens who choose milk instead of sugary drinks tend to be leaner and the protein helps build muscle. It’s the best of both worlds” the text is used to convince consumers that milk is what powers this celebrity to function and be the artist that she is and it uses a little but of logos when it talks about milk helping build muscle and how people who drink milk instead of sugary drinks are leaner.
