Select an ad (found online--you can include the image in your response, if you want) which you find particularly effective and analyze it. Why is it effective? What type of message does it convey? How does it do so? What choices has the author made which convey his/her message or intent? How does the ad try to convince its audience to buy its product?

I found an ad for nike that i liked. It was a soccer player covered in red paint screaming at something. The background was all white and he was painted all white other then the red strike. I thought it was a good ad because it caught your attention and made you stop to look at it. Then in the corner, it endorsed nike with the swoop and " Just do it" phrase. It conveys an excited message that makes you want to get up and go play some crazy sport. And you know that nike will be there for any athletic equipment that you need to be like the painted man. In a way, nike has created a feeling of greed, with the use of popular athletes, the audience feels that they want to have what the athlete has and that the nike product will help.
