This advertisement works to capture it's audience by relating to them. It is probably targeted towards men since they have more of a tendency to drink beer. The author relates to men through video games showing how beer and playing video games go together. This can be an appeal to pathos since the audience gets a feeling of enjoyment from playing video games. It conveys the message that drinking beer and playing video games go hand in hand. By simply putting in text "It's Game Day", the author chooses to make the ad simple since most men enjoy simplicity. It's interesting to see that they put all the risks and warnings of alcohol in the bottom of the advertisement in extremely small text so they don't divert their audience from the product.
